Cherry Creek neighborhood got its birth name from no other than the Cherry Creek! – which is known for its bike paths and running trails. The Cherry Creek neighborhood is situated between the University Street to the west and Colorado Boulevard to the east. Flanked by Alameda Avenue to the south and 6th Avenue to the north, Cherry Creek is also home to the most affluent shopping center in the district, the Cherry Creek Mall.

Cherry Creek Livability:

According to www.areavibes.com – a demographics and community statistics site, Cherry Creek is exceptionally livable. It ranks #2 in Denver and #12 in all of Colorado. Despite the exclusivity of the neighborhood being one of the most expensive places to live in, it is home to more than 6,000 residents. The median household income was at $122,288 in 2010, nearly thrice the median of more than $45,000 for the city and county of Denver.

Restaurants:
Cherry Creek North, a group of outlets north of the mall, contains many restaurants and boutiques.
North specializes in northern Italian cuisine with a chic dining ambiance.
Kona Grill located inside the Cherry Creek Mall is favorite hang out for happy hour.
The Cherry Cricket at 2641 E. 2nd St. is a more laid back alternative with lots of burgers to serve matched with happy singing in the karaoke.

The Cherry Creek area could almost be guilty of being a food temptress, with its vast selection of dining places, coffee shops, and extravagant restaurants. In fact, there are easily 20 restaurants and 18 coffee shops in a 1-mile radius!

Schools:
Cherry Creek holds a reputation of being an education center – known for its good schools and educational standards, it is not surprising that families make up a major part of the neighborhood’s demographics. The local schools are part of Arapahoe County.

Cherry Creek students either attend East High at 1545 Detroit St. or South High at 1700 E. Louisiana Blvd.
